Job Title: Community Support Worker
Location: Skyview, Calgary NE

Employment Type: Part-time / Full-time
Wage: $20/hour
Weekends , M-F
Job Summary:
As a Community Support Worker at UQLC, you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities living in our residential living care, Your role is to assist residents in achieving greater independence and quality of life through personal care, daily living activities, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Support residents with daily personal care tasks (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing)
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders
Encourage and facilitate participation in recreational, social, and community activities
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
Implement individualized support plans and behavioral strategies
Promote and advocate for residents’ rights, dignity, and choices
Maintain clear and accurate documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes)
Collaborate with other team members, families, and healthcare professionals
Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Health care Aid Training
Knowledge of person-centered care practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, compassionate, and patient
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license (an asset but not required)
